A spinning machine that imparts twist to yarn using a small metal loop, called a traveler, which rotates rapidly around a stationary ring. As the drafting rollers feed the roving, the traveler drags behind the bobbin's rotation, twisting the fibers into yarn and winding it simultaneously.
The tension on the ring spinner needs adjusting because the cotton yarn is coming out underspun.
