A haul unit that unloads by tilting its whole bed so mix slides out the back through the tailgate, whether a tandem, a tri-axle or a trailer. At the paver the truck backs up, stops just short, shifts to neutral and lets the paver's push rollers pick it up and push it along while the bed rises. End dumps are the most common haul unit, but the raised bed needs clearance from wires and bridges.
