Injection

nounStandard termBuilding

The process of pumping liquid materials into soil, rock fissures, or concrete cracks under high pressure.

A structural repair or ground modification technique where specialized pumps force grout, epoxy, or polyurethane resins into voids. In foundation work, it stabilizes loose soils and stops groundwater infiltration. In concrete repair, chemical injection bonds cracked sections back together and seals out moisture to protect internal rebar from corrosion.
