Roadkill

nounStandard termAutomotive

An animal that has been struck and killed by a motor vehicle.

Wildlife or domestic animals killed on a roadway by passing traffic. Hitting large animals like deer or moose causes severe structural damage to the vehicle's front end, often destroying radiators, headlights, and windshields. Mechanics frequently pull fur, bone, or debris out of grilles and undercarriages after these strikes.
