A dynamic event where a vehicle loses rear-wheel traction and rotates wildly, disconnecting its heading from its actual direction of travel. A spinout usually ends with the vehicle facing backward or sliding off the track, and is typically caused by sudden weight transfer, hydroplaning, or applying too much power in a corner.
The race was red-flagged after a massive spinout in turn three left debris all over the track.
