Power lead

nounShop talkElectrotechnology

A flexible cable used to supply mains electricity to a device or test equipment.

This is the common shop term for the flexible power cord connecting an instrument, tool, or appliance to a socket. In testing environments, it refers to the heavy-gauge wires connecting a load bank or power supply to the device under test. Technicians frequently inspect these for physical damage or loose terminations before energizing a setup.
