The physical act of terminating wires, bolting lugs, or plugging in cables to complete an electrical installation. This informal phrase describes the final assembly stage where all individual components are wired together into a functional system. It implies making the final mechanical and electrical joints before testing or commissioning.
Once the conduit is run, the electricians will connect up the main switchboard and we can start the insulation tests.
