A flexible cable assembly used to connect appliances and portable equipment to the mains supply.

This assembly consists of insulated flexible conductors enclosed in an outer sheath, usually terminating in a molded plug. It provides a temporary or semi-permanent connection to a wall receptacle. Industrial versions feature heavy-duty stranding and oil-resistant jackets to withstand mechanical abuse on the shop floor.
