A triangular iron container lined with wood that holds freshly formed glass items. It provides a temporary, insulated resting place that slows the cooling rate of the hot glass while the glassblower finishes a batch or waits for space in the lehr. The wood lining scorches but prevents thermal shock that cold metal would cause.
