GB/T refers to the set of national standards used in China for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. It dictates the physical plug design, voltage limits, and software handshake between the vehicle and the charging station. While North America uses CCS or NACS, vehicles exported to or built in China must adopt the GB/T standard to utilize public fast chargers.
The export models need the GB/T charge port installed on the right rear quarter panel before they ship to Shanghai.
