The primary interface and hardware box mounted in the dashboard that controls the stereo, navigation, and media functions. In older cars, it is a standardized single or double DIN radio receiver. In newer vehicles, it is a complex computer module that integrates climate controls, vehicle settings, and smartphone connectivity.
