Describing a circular closure drawn tight by pulling a continuous thread or cord.

A structural technique where a running stitch or cord is threaded in a circle around an opening and then pulled tight to gather the fabric into a closed bunch. It mimics the drawstring closure of traditional coin pouches and is often used in soft fabric yo-yos, stuffed textile forms, and medical sutures.
