Polynose

nounStandard termTextiles

A modified viscose rayon fiber known for high wet strength and dimensional stability.

A type of regenerated cellulose fiber where the polymer chains are modified to resist stretching and shrinking when wet. Unlike standard rayon, which loses significant strength in water, polynose fibers maintain their structure, making them machine washable and highly durable. They are often blended with cotton or polyester to improve drape and softness.
