Regenerated

adjectiveStandard termTextiles

Describes a fiber created by dissolving a natural raw material and extruding it into a new filament.

Refers to manufactured fibers produced by chemically dissolving a natural polymer, such as wood cellulose or bamboo, and forcing the resulting viscous solution through a spinneret to form continuous filaments. Rayon, modal, and lyocell are the most common examples. These fibers bridge the gap between natural and synthetic, offering the breathability of plants with the uniform drape of plastics.

The care label says 100 percent regenerated cellulose, so treat it exactly like you would a standard viscose rayon.
