Hooks come in S, J and custom shapes bent from wire or cut from sheet, and every part that goes through the line hangs on one. Each pass through the oven adds cured powder, and a crusted hook stops carrying ground. Shops keep a hook rotation of fresh, stripped and scrapped hooks, and a bin of the right hooks for each part number saves time at loading.
Somebody grabbed the crusty hooks again, swap them out, we're getting no ground on half the line.
A hook mark is unavoidable somewhere on most parts; agree with the customer where it goes before the job runs.
