On a continuous line every stage is tied to conveyor speed: dwell in each washer stage, time in the dry-off, gun exposure in the booth and time in the cure oven. Running faster boosts output but can leave parts undercured or thinly coated. Line speed is chosen from the slowest requirement, usually oven cure on the heaviest part being hung.
Drop the line speed to 8 feet a minute while the heavy frames are on, they need the oven time.
