Two-coat jobs include a primer under an exterior topcoat, a chrome or silver base under a candy, or a color under a clear. The base is usually given a partial cure, often about half the full schedule, so the topcoat bonds chemically to it, and then the whole system is fully cured. Two-coat work doubles booth and oven time and is quoted accordingly.
This one's a two-coat, gel the primer at half the schedule, then topcoat and full cure.
