Ropes form when fibers roll together during transport, at the doffer, in air ducts or on suction belts, often because of static, poor finish or worn card clothing. In the fabric they appear as dense, string-like defects that cause visual rejects and uneven bonding. Crews say the line is roping when the defect becomes frequent.
Card is roping again at the doffer, it's dry in here, check the humidity and the antistat.
