A small, even squeeze-out shows the sheets were hot enough and pressed hard enough to fuse. Heavy squeeze-out signals too much heat or pressure and can thin the sheet beside the weld, while none at all hints at a cold weld. Inspectors use it as a quick visual check along every seam.
