A heavy logging vehicle equipped with a specialized attachment that grasps a tree, cuts it at the base using a high-speed saw or shear, and holds it upright. The machine then swings and accumulates several cut trees before laying them down in an organized pile for a skidder to easily grab.
The feller-buncher is down for a hydraulic leak, so the whole skidding crew is waiting on wood.
