A darkened polyester film applied to the interior of vehicle windows to reduce glare and heat.

Installers apply this adhesive film to automotive glass to block UV rays, lower cabin temperatures, and provide privacy. The darkness is measured in visible light transmission percentage, with lower numbers indicating a darker shade. Poorly applied or cheap film will eventually bubble, turn purple, and peel from sun exposure.
