A cylindrical pivot point used to support and allow rotation in suspension components.

A heavy-duty bearing or pivot mechanism consisting of a cylindrical protrusion acting as a mounting point. In older independent suspensions or heavy truck tandem axles, trunnions allow control arms or leaf springs to articulate smoothly under extreme load.
