Turbulent Jet Ignition (TJI) is an advanced combustion technology where a spark plug ignites a small, rich fuel mixture inside a tiny pre-chamber. The resulting high-pressure plasma shoots through tiny nozzles into the main combustion chamber, igniting a much leaner fuel-air mixture. This process speeds up combustion, improves thermal efficiency, and significantly reduces emissions compared to a standard spark plug.
We need to pull the heads to inspect the pre-chamber nozzles on the TJI system.
