A stylized, fin-like aerodynamic or decorative projection on the rear quarter panels of classic cars.

A vertical or angled body panel extension located above the rear fenders. Originally inspired by aviation design to provide high-speed stability, they became primarily decorative styling elements on older American automobiles. They often house the taillight assemblies and extend the visual length of the vehicle.
