A raised opening on a vehicle body panel designed to capture and direct outside air.

An aerodynamic inlet molded or bolted onto a hood, roof, or side panel to force ambient air into the engine bay or cabin. Functional scoops route high-pressure air directly into an intercooler, intake manifold, or brake duct, while cosmetic versions are simply sealed styling elements.
