Mocking name for beads that are tall, ropey, uneven and plainly not fused into the base metal, usually from too little heat, too much wire or poor technique. It is aimed at beginners and rushed production work, and it implies cold lap and lack of fusion under the ugly surface. Calling a weld bird poop is a verdict on both looks and strength.
Who put this bird poop on the trailer hitch, grind it all off before somebody tows a boat with it.
