Banded pattern of thicker and thinner lines across a sprayed surface, from an index too wide for the footprint, uneven traverse speed, robot hesitation at turnarounds or pulsing feed. Striping shows as alternating texture or color in the as-sprayed surface and as wavy thickness in a cross section. It can push thin spots below minimum thickness once the part is ground.
Look at the striping on that plate, index is too wide for this gun, drop it from 6 to 4 millimeters.
