A sharp, pressed fold where all pleats face the same direction.

A folding technique in garment construction where the fabric is doubled back on itself to create a series of sharp, flat creases that all point in one direction. Each pleat consists of three layers of fabric. The ratio typically requires three times the finished width in yardage to construct a fully pleated panel.
