A revise is a proof sheet generated after the author or editor has marked up the initial proof with changes. The typesetter or prepress operator pulls this new copy specifically to verify that all typographical errors were fixed and no new errors were introduced during the correction process.
The client found three typos on the first pass, so pull a revise and send it over for final sign-off.
Never throw away the marked-up first proof until the revise is fully approved, as you need it to verify what was actually requested.
