A jumbo carries the full trim width of the machine and can weigh tens of tonnes on a large machine. It goes to the winder to be slit and rewound into customer rolls, or to a sheeter. Defects are traced back by reel number, and the lab holds the whole jumbo until shade, brightness and strength have cleared.
Jumbo off the reel is on hold for dirt, so the winder crew can't start the set.
