A specialized mobile machine used to drill holes and install support bolts in mine ceilings.

A piece of heavy underground equipment equipped with hydraulic booms that drill vertically into the mine ceiling and insert steel support bolts. Operators work under a protective steel canopy to safely secure the newly exposed roof immediately after a continuous miner has advanced the face.
