Dwell time measures the exact period a component is subjected to a specific condition, such as heat, pressure, or chemical exposure, before moving to the next stage. In molding and stamping, it is the time the tool stays closed to form the part. Precise control of this duration prevents incomplete curing, weak bonds, or material degradation.
Increase the dwell time on the heat sealer to three seconds so the plastic actually fuses.
