This mechanical separator uses a rotating cylinder or reel fitted with specific indentations or screens to sort seeds by length and thickness. It is primarily used to pull wild oats out of barley or tame oats, and to remove pin oats from wheat. The precise sizing allows the desired grain to drop through while the longer or irregularly shaped weed seeds are carried over to a separate discharge.
The sample came back with too much dockage, so run it through the barley reel before we load the truck.
