Low-voltage differential signaling. It is a technical standard that transmits data at high speeds over cheap twisted-pair copper cables. By sending inverted versions of the signal down two wires, it cancels out electromagnetic interference, making it the dominant internal video link between laptop motherboards and LCD panels.
