Polymer light-emitting diode. A type of organic light-emitting diode where the emissive electroluminescent layer is a conductive polymer rather than small organic molecules. These polymers can be applied using solution processing techniques like inkjet printing, making them highly attractive for manufacturing large-area or flexible display panels.
The new wearable prototype uses a flexible PLED screen that curves around the wrist.
