A bell box is a die-cast weatherproof box with threaded hubs for rigid or IMC conduit, plugs for unused hubs and a gasketed cover, named after the Bell brand of the style. It is the default outdoor box on walls, posts and rooftops, in one, two and three gangs and several depths, with a matching family of weatherproof covers and lampholders. Formally these are FS and FD boxes.
Mount a single-gang bell box on the post, half-inch rigid up the side, and put an in-use cover on it.
