A decorative effect created by blowing fine drops of color onto a surface.

Describes a ceramic or glass piece decorated with a fine, speckled mist of glaze or enamel. The effect is traditionally achieved by blowing liquid color through a tube covered with a fine mesh, or using a bellows system, creating a stippled, textured appearance. It was a popular technique in historic Chinese and European porcelain.
