The technique of shaping glass using a localized heat source like a torch.

A type of glasswork where the artist uses a gas-fueled torch to melt rods and tubes of clear and colored glass. Once the glass reaches a molten state, it is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. It differs from furnace glassblowing by operating on a much smaller scale, typically at a bench.
