Valley piece

nounStandard termBuilding

A specialized roofing tile or shingle shaped to fit the internal intersection of two roof slopes.

A custom-formed roofing unit designed to lay directly in the valley where two roof planes meet. Instead of using continuous metal flashing, these overlapping pieces channel water down the crease while matching the surrounding roof material.
