The exterior timber cladding or siding applied to the walls of a structure.

Sideboarding is the application of wooden boards to the exterior framework of a building to weather-proof and enclose it. The boards can be installed horizontally with overlapping edges, vertically with battens, or in a tongue-and-groove fashion. It serves as the primary barrier against wind and rain while providing the building's aesthetic finish.
