This roofing method uses long, vertical metal panels that run from the ridge to the eave. The edges of adjacent panels are folded up and crimped together to form a raised seam above the level of the roof deck. This design keeps the fastener holes and joints above the water line, making the roof highly resistant to leaks and weather damage.
We're putting a standing seam copper roof on the new extension.
The seams can be snapped together or mechanically seamed with a special tool, depending on the wind uplift requirements.
