Screen wall

nounStandard termBuilding

A non-structural barrier built to hide rooftop equipment or block wind.

A freestanding or parapet-mounted wall designed to conceal unsightly mechanical equipment, such as HVAC units and ductwork, from street view. It is typically constructed with a steel or wood frame clad in metal panels, louvers, or masonry. While it does not support the building, it must be engineered to withstand significant wind loads.
