Scaffold

nounStandard termBuilding

A temporary elevated framework used to support workers and materials during construction.

A temporary, modular structure built against or inside a building to provide safe access for trades working at height. Systems range from basic tube-and-clamp metal frames to suspended swing stages and rolling towers. Proper erection requires cross-bracing, secure base plates, and guardrails to prevent falls and structural collapse under the weight of crews and heavy materials.
