A pan former is a piece of motorized roll-forming equipment that pulls flat sheet metal from a coil and bends it into continuous roofing panels, complete with standing seams or interlocking edges. Roofers often bring portable pan formers directly to the job site to extrude custom-length panels, eliminating horizontal end-laps and reducing shipping damage.
Set up the pan former at the gable end so we can run the sheets straight up to the roof deck.
