The circumference of the chest measured across the fullest part of the breasts.

The overbust is a primary body measurement taken by wrapping a tape measure horizontally around the torso at the apex of the bust. Pattern makers and tailors use this measurement alongside the underbust to determine cup size and draft accurate bodice blocks.
