Fully fashioned

adjectiveStandard termTextiles

Knitwear shaped by increasing or decreasing stitches during production rather than cutting from a flat fabric.

A method of manufacturing knit garments where individual panels are shaped on the knitting machine by altering the number of active stitches. This creates finished edges that are linked together, eliminating fabric waste from cutting and preventing raw edges from unravelling. It is a hallmark of high-quality commercial knitwear.
