The craft and industrial process of manufacturing stereotype plates.

The entire industrial workflow of creating duplicate printing plates by molding a flexible matrix over composed type and casting molten metal into that mold. It encompasses the preparation of the flong, the casting of the metal, and the finishing or routing of the cooled plate so it sits perfectly type-high on the press.
