The historic method of printing using cast metal stereotype plates.

The traditional practice of printing text and images using solid metal plates cast from molds of composed type, rather than printing directly from the movable type itself. This technique allowed for curved plates that could be mounted on rotary presses, drastically increasing production speeds for newspapers and mass-market books.

Stereotypography completely changed the newspaper industry by letting us run the same page on four different presses at once.
