The dryer section holds dozens of large steam-filled cylinders in groups, and the sheet weaves over them while dryer fabrics press it against the hot shells. Crews call the whole section the cans or the dryers and refer to individual cans by section and position. Uneven steam or poor condensate removal in the cans causes moisture streaks that later show up as calender blackening or curl.
Condensate isn't clearing in the third section cans, so moisture is high on the drive side.
