A mold used to shape and pack sand into a solid core for creating internal cavities in a casting.

A specialized tool or mold used by foundry workers to pack and shape bonded sand into a solid core. The resulting core is removed, often baked or cured, and then placed inside a main casting mold to form the internal cavities or hollow sections of the final metal part.
